Does anyone really think Sarah Palin has even a remote chance of being elected President of U.S.?

She does not appeal to moderates or self-described independents whatsoever. That is the death knell of any presidential candidate. Her ability to drum up support among her base in the conservative wing of American politics is uncanny, and that support is vocal and fervent. However, those numbers just aren't there. Combine that with a current Republican field that sees some proven high-profile candidates (Huckabee, Romney) and others that skew even more centrist (Pawlenty), and I think an attempt for any national party nomination is essentially already lost.
