Who is the punchline killer?

I mean the person who sends around jokes by email, some of them funny, some of them OK, but all of them ruined by: "YOU'LL LOVE THIS!" before the punchline, and/or a little sermon at the end telling us to "live life, laugh life and hug someone today". Has this person no understanding of the importance of dry humour and ironic detachment? Aaagghhhh!! :-@
